Design
I am proud to support the work of The Gurkha Welfare Trust, Registered Charity No:- 1103669, gwt.org.uk(GWT) in Nepal and will make a £7 donation to the GWT from the sale of each GWT Scarf, Neckwarmer or loop scarf purchased online.
The design is based on the colours of the trust. The gold centre line for 200 years service to the crown, with two grey lines either side symbolising the kukri.
Care
Air frequently, wash infrequently. Full instructions regarding care is provided.
Provinence
The Falkland Islands wool I use is supplied by Wooltops (www.wooltops.co.uk). I also use Alpaca from www.ukalpaca.com.
All Falklands wool comes to the UK via ship.
I hand-dye when I need colour using non-toxic dyes.
Postage
Great Britain and Crown dependency postage is included in the price. I subsidise overseas postage.
Due to GPRS rules, I am unable to send to the EU or Northern Ireland, but will do so when it’s financially viable for me.
Presentation
Each creation is gift-wrapped in tissue paper with a care card and a sprig of Lavender (excludes Australia & New Zealand due to customs regulations) before being boxed.
Fibre options
All wools are Falkland Islands, that are genuinely soft next to the skin.
Choose from:
Medium weight (double-knit) wool or alpaca. Breathable warmth from quality wool, the most popular choice.
Lightweight (4-ply) wool.
Very lightweight (2-ply) laceweight wool. Ideal for very warm weather climates. It takes the longest time to weave, but worth the results. Woven using the smallest reed I have for the looms, it gives a smaller design and finer detail.
Changes in colours & some designs carry no extra charge, but I don’t do hard sell, so feel free to ask.
